Case study
HungerHunter
Food discovery built around how people decide where to eat, with a portal for restaurants and food trucks.
A food discovery platform built around how people decide where to eat.
What it is
A three-sided platform: a personality-driven discovery experience for diners, a portal where restaurants and food trucks claim and manage their listings, and an admin tool for moderation and data ingestion. All three run on one shared backend.
The hard parts
- Three audiences (diners, operators and the internal team) on three domains, powered by one codebase and one data layer.
- A food personality quiz turns generic listings into personal recommendations, filtered through each diner’s flavor profile.
- Continuous ingestion: restaurant data arrives from several sources and is de-duplicated and geocoded without manual entry.
- Every listing gets its own generated social card for sharing.
Outcomes
- Personal recommendations in place of a generic directory.
- Operators get real tools to manage their presence.
- Automatic imports keep the catalog fresh without staff time.
- Custom social cards make listings easy to share.
Where Think New helped
Think New built HungerHunter end to end: the consumer experience, the operator portal, the ingestion pipeline and the production infrastructure.
